The idea has been adopted into various fields, from education to city design. This study was conducted to survey the possibility of utilizing this concept in the command of the Japanese language, especially in the light of information accessibility for students with visual/hearing impairment with a desire to participate in higher education. The study is twofold: the first, theoretical part of the study deals with a brief history of the Japanese language that serves as the backdrop of its linguistic particularity; the second part is more practical, in which the actual issues concerning the support for students with different impairments are considered.
