| 内容記述 | 同一区内にある複数の介護事業所の職員を対象に、６か月の期間に施設外研修により認知症に配慮した施設環境づくりの知識やスキルの習得、それに基づき自施設で施設環境づくりの実践を行う「認知症高齢者に配慮した施設環境づくり地域連続型研修」を実施して、この研修が各施設のケア環境、高齢者の行動、職員の意識へ及ぼす影響を明らかにした。研修には特別養護老人ホームやデイサービスに勤務する介護職員16 名が参加して、物理的環境と社会的環境の両面から豊かな環境づくりが行われた。PEAP により研修の前後を比較すると、研修後には認知症高齢者にふさわしい環境へと改善が行われた。環境づくり後の高齢者の行動観察では、落ち着きやなじみの関係の増加などポジティブな影響がみられた。研修への自己評価では、ケア環境に関する知識やスキルの習得のみでなく、環境づくりが高齢者に及ぼす影響へと視点が広がったことが示された。施設環境づくり研修は、知識やスキルの習得に留まらず、環境づくり実践の効果の検証のプロセスまで含んだ研修プログラムである。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | A "local continuing professional development (CPD) program on the creation of institutional environments supportive of elderly people with dementia" for staff from a number of care establishments in one district was implemented. This program comprised 6 months of off-the-job training regarding the acquisition of knowledge and skills concerning the creation of institutional environments supportive of people with dementia, alongside training to actually create such an environment in their own establishments. The effects of this training on the care environment, the behavior of elderly people and staff awareness in each of the establishments were then clarified. A total of 1６ care staff working in special nursing homes for the elderly and day service centers participated in the training, and environments were created that were enriched in terms of both physical environmental aspects and social environmental aspects. Pre- and post-training comparison using PEAP showed that improvements to create an appropriate environment for elderly people with dementia were being implemented after the training. Observation of the behavior of elderly people after creating the environment showed positive effects such as greater serenity and closer relations. Self-evaluation with regard to the training revealed that participants had not only acquired knowledge and skills related to the care environment, but had also widened their perspectives on the influence exerted by environment creation on elderly people. Training in institutional environment creation is not only a program that contributes to the acquisition of knowledge and skills, but extends to the process of evaluation of effects in the practice of environment creation. | |||||
